The Situation

To share with the global tourism industry how Beijing is tackling many of the most challenging issues facing international tourism, and looking ahead to a new era of global travel, the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau held a two-day event, the “Beijing Culture and Tourism Global Online Strategic Forum – Restart Travel, Together with Beijing.” This was the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau’s first-ever online event.

The Results

– More than 30 expert speakers recruited
– More than 26,000 views of the forum sessions
– Coverage from more than 360 media outlets globally

Our Work

The forum was organized into two sessions over 22-23 September, with one targeting the Asian and EMEA regions, and the second scheduled for time zones in the Americas and Pacific region. The forum’s main language was English, but the event also included presentations in Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese, with a choice of subtitles in simplified Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese or Spanish. An expert lineup of more than 30 speakers from throughout the tourism industry included industry leaders such as Airbnb, TripAdvisor, Lufthansa Group, TUI, PATA, WYSE Travel Confederation, Marriott, and many others.

Dragon Trail produced the forum from start to finish, including inviting speakers, organizing panel topics and moderating the discussions, translating and subtitling, filming, pre- and post-event publicity, and hosting the event on our CTA Live platform. To date, the forum sessions have been viewed more than 26,000 times by viewers in around the world, with coverage in more than 360 media outlets.
