China’s 2021 Holiday Calendar Announced

The official Chinese public holiday calendar for 2021 was released on November 25. Check the dates for Chinese New Year and other public holiday periods throughout the coming year.

The most important things to know:

The May 1 Labor Day holiday has been made a five-day holiday for the second year in a row. It was originally extended from three days to four in 2019, then to five consecutive days in 2020..

October’s Golden Week holiday goes back to the normal seven days in 2021, with a separate Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in late September. A late Mid-Autumn Festival resulted in an eight-day Golden Week in 2020.
